VILLAGE OF WARM SPRINGS 82 Old Mill Road, Warm Springs |
|||
When the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church moved from its original site on the Jackson River to Warm Springs in 1833, they built a new Church and Manse soon afterwards. The Manse became a private residence in 1955 and was home to the operator of the water powered gristmill next door. Today, the home still stands proudly on its elevated site with views west through Warm Springs Gap. The home has the traditional central hall with twin parlors up front, a dining room and kitchen with a breakfast room behind. A slate-floored den with a stone fireplace was added connecting the house to a stone storage building with 31’ x 12’ frame room above – perfect for conversion to separate guest quarters. The breakfast room opens onto a side patio. The “everyday” parlor was converted to a first floor master bedroom with a full bath. The original wide pine floors have been retained throughout the home. The second floor has three additional bedrooms, a full bath and an office or optional fifth bedroom. The wiring has been upgraded and a new roof installed in 2005. The one acre lot has a hilltop backyard with great views over the village and the mountains to the west. A 26’ x 20’ frame studio, in need of renovation, sits above the house. $447,000 - REDUCED For a full color brochure, click here.
