I suppose that everyone sees unusual things on the way to work in the morning. It’s mostly woods and fields between home and work for me so it’s animals, plants or a views that catches my eye. On this morning I was riding my bike to the office and saw little white flames coming out of the ground all over a field by the road. Was there natural gas leaking from below?
I stopped and realized that thought must have come from an oxygen deficiency caused by the steep road grade. They were not white flames. They were spider webs lit up by the sun coming over the mountain. I couldn’t find the spider and assumed they were late risers who had not started their day yet. The field surely had 300 or more of them glowing in the morning sun.
