Flag Rock has long been the premier hiking destination in Bath County, offering panoramic views far into West Virginia to the west and 50 miles east towards Staunton and the Peaks of Otter. The site also has the great fortune of being located within The Nature Conservancy’s Warm Springs Mountain Preserve, a 9000 acre sanctuary spanning the majority of the mountain’s ridge top. Properties such a 480 Old Dairy Road feature the rare ability to access the historic trail to Flag Rock directly out of its back yard. From the ridge top, there are also four other incredible mountain top trail systems, tying into what was formally the Homestead’s “Skyline Drive”. As far as mountain retreat home goes, 480 Old Dairy is as ideal as they get.
