When Real Estate Work Turns into a Safari

While we certainly work with a fair share of homes “in town”, our counties of Bath and Highland offer extensive property featuring pastural farm land, mountain landscape, and the headwaters of several prominent Virginia rivers. With over half of Bath County covered with National Forest, encountering wildlife is relatively common. That being said, we try and not take for granted what beauty surrounds us. Recently while filming a gorgeous property listing on Little Back Creek, we found a mother black bear and her three cubs foraging a freshly mowed hay field for exposed yellowjacket nests. A pretty special opportunity to see these incredible animals up close.
